The short version
We use two cookies, both needed for features you ask for: staying signed in, and opening a shared VM link. There are no analytics, advertising or third-party cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

Both cookies are limited to the exact host that set them, sent only over HTTPS, and hidden from JavaScript. Neither is passed on to the software running in your VM.
Browser storage
The documentation remembers two display preferences in your browser. Nothing is sent to us.
starlight-theme(local storage): light or dark theme, if you choose one.sl-sidebar-state(session storage): which documentation sidebar sections are open, until you close the tab.
Legal basis
The two cookies are strictly necessary for a feature you asked for (staying signed in, or opening a share link), so they do not need consent (ยง 25(2) TDDDG). The theme and sidebar entries are display preferences. They stay in your browser and are not sent to us. You can delete any of these in your browser. Deleting the session cookie signs you out.
Websites that customers publish from their VMs may set their own cookies. Those are the customer's responsibility.
